Reston, VA (June 21, 2023) - Between 100 and 200 people are expected for this free community health fair and screening.

This partnership represents their community health fair & screening event hosted by Lake Anne House.

To date, Lake Anne House & American Health Care Professionals and its partners are recognized for their expertise in health and wellness.  Our partners, doctors, nurses, therapists and health care screeners, collaborate for the purpose of educating for risk of stroke, heart disease, diabetic reaction and/or severe obesity complications.

“Through screening, education and new technologies, many life-threatening diseases can now be prevented or managed to extend and improve the quality of life for people, and reduce hospitalizations and health care costs,” noted Clishia Taylor, AHCP Founder and CEO.

Far too many people wait until they feel very sick before seeking medical care. Without proper screening and preventive care, many individuals are likely to be hospitalized, or even die from conditions that could have been avoided. The community health partners will be screening for risk factors for:

  • Cardiovascular disease - the leading cause of death in the U.S.
  • Diabetes - the leading cause of adult blindness and kidney failure and a major cause of stroke and heart disease.
  • High blood pressure - frequently undiagnosed and a silent disease that contributes to significant disability and death.
